A Canadian's Odyssey in the Smokies
A sweet little Canadian girl whisked off to the wilds of Tennessee by a dashing Southern gentleman, I now have to survive in a land devoid of Tim Horton's coffee and Shreddies, where tabaggons are worn on your head and toques draw blank looks. The words are the same but the language is different. This is my story.

As stated, so cute!!
Oh, poor Linda, Sarah and your Dad! Let's hope the bad luck is finished. I didn't know anyone in Canada had contracted the e.coli. That must be terrible for her on top of everything else, plus having Sarah in that accident, poor thing. I'm sure your Dad will be fine, though it sucks to be him right now....in later years, he will joke about his veteran's injury in the dangerous and wiley game of curling. I'll pray for them all!
It's not Linda, it's my brother's wife Kelly in California. Both he and she ate the spinach but because she's really sick anyway, she's getting hammered by the e.coli.
Hi Janey
I haven't been by in a while and I'm sorry you're family have had such a bout of bad luck.
I will send a thought out there for them.
Is that Kody all dressed up?
He looks sooo cute!
Thanks for coming by my blog, too!
:)
Dale
Thanks, Dale! Hopefully my family will get better soon!
Yes, that is Kodie. He's such a character - we are so blessed to have him. Well, most of the time ... other times, like now, when he wants up only to stand in front of the computer ....
Sorry about all that has happened with your family. Hopefully things will start improving soon.
And your little 'Batman' is too cute!
Oh!! DUH! When I saw sister, I think I just skipped the 'in-law' part! It's too bad anyway, no matter who it is.
Janey,
Wow! I hope everyone is feeling better by now! What a run of bad luck! That e-coli is nothing to take lightly.
I hope that idiot that hit Sarah gets the book thrown at him! It just makes me angry when folks don't take responsibility.
It sounds like your dad's the type to pull through with flying colors. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, right?
And now you have Batman to run down the bad guys! Too cute.
Thanks, Rachel and Angelina. My Dad is doing a lot better (although completely stir-crazy and upset that he's having to give up the guide dog puppy he's training) and my niece is still trucking along. My poor SIL has now contracted the c'est deficile virus (hospital bug), so she is still really weak.
The good news is that Batman has his first party tonight!
